Pretty sure if you looked up whirlwind in the dictionary you’d see my picture. The past three months have been full of momentous events for our family including two babies and a wedding! We welcomed little Adelaide in March, celebrated Rachel’s wedding in early June, and greeted little Marion just about a week ago. There’s been so much joy mixed with a touch of sadness. This was the 5th year our family has participated in Relay for Life in honor of my niece Elizabeth. We Relay so that cancer doesn’t prevent other people from dancing at their sister’s wedding or cuddling their new baby nieces. With your help we donated almost $1000 to Relay! I’m so grateful to all of you for making that possible. The raffles were hugely successful so a super big thank you to those of you who shared info on Facebook and/or Instagram. In all the hubbub of the baby and bridal showers, my vacation and having my phone stolen, I lost the list of people who shared on social media. I remember that Lori U, Sandy W, Jamie C, Ami L, Carole B, and Barb R all posted about the raffles. Please let me know if you also posted so that I can include you in the drawing for a $25 gift certificate. We’ll be pulling a name on Saturday so please let me know soon.
Now that the “housekeeping” stuff is out of the way I can tell you about fun stuff coming up at the Ewe. We’ll be announcing the new date for the Turn, Turn, Turn class this week and also a date for Noteworthy Needle’s stitched pumpkin class. We’re also having a special sale this month. Christmas in July is feeling a bit worn-out so instead we’re doing EUROPEAN VACATION! There will be a lot of wonderful patterns from European designers like Rovaris, Tralala, Jardin Prive, Madame Chantilly, etc. on sale. More on all of this in the next two newsletters because, as usual, it’s getting late and I’d like to send this before midnight. 😊
Have a terrific holiday week and happy stitching,
